Colorful and practical quilted products.
Colleen Loomis is a quilter. She has a few adorable baby quilts for sale at the Guild, but in addition to traditional quilts, Colleen makes a variety of quilted household items that are extremely useful as well as attractive.
You’ll find patchwork place mats and table runners in a nice selection of colors and patterns. We always have a wide array of colorful quilted pot holders available. One very popular product is the patchwork chicken which can serve as a pincushion, paperweight or simply a fun decoration.
Colleen’s microwaveable items, lined with natural fiber batting, are unique and very useful. Quilted bowls are the perfect shape to cradle a bowl so you can easily remove it from the microwave. Microwaveable sacks are for cooking potatoes, corn or other vegetables or warming tortillas. Instructions for use are included with the bags.
In Colleen’s words, “Quilting involves quite a lot of work; however, when I’m in the zone, I’m having fun. It’s fun to see how my projects, big, small or simple, come to the finished end. A lot of heart and soul goes into my work and I’m passing all of this on with great pleasure.”.
